Appointment/ Cancellation Policy
You can make an appointment with me by calling 08131/ 3174049. All incoming phone calls are forwarded to voice mail when I am with a client. Please leave a message with your name and number or send me an email at laurie@lauriejohnson.de. I will answer as soon as possible.
If it is necessary to cancel or postpone, please give notice at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment. You will be charged half of the amount for your appointment. If you do not show without having cancelled or rescheduled, you will be charged the full amount.
Cost
Payment is to be made in cash at the end of each appointment and you will be given a receipt. Please let me know if you need special paperwork to submit to your private health insurance company for possible reimbursement.

German Tax Law § Nr. 14 UStG, Psychotherapy is tax-exempt.
Covering the Cost
Self-Payer
Clients pay directly at the time of treatment, regardless of insurance status or possible reimbursement.
Your advantage is that your records remain private and do not need to be submitted to your health insurance or mentioned when applying for insurance jobs that require information on psychotherapeutic treatment. You decide what information to pass on.
Private Health Insurance
Some private health insurance or supplemental insurance may reimburse treatment by a mental health practitioner (Heilprakterin für Psychotherapie). Policies vary greatly on what is covered and how much is reimbursed. Please contact your insurance company directly.
German Public Health Insurance
Fees are not covered by German public health insurance (Gesetzliche Krankenkasse).
Medical Evaluation
In case of illness, medical evaluation by a physician or psychiatrist is necessary. This treatment is not a substitute for necessary medical or psychiatric treatments!
